Slate Breaker: FD CFB DFS Week 13 (Tues)

Bowling Green vs Western Michigan

The Western Michigan offense offers the most fantasy appeal on this limited slate. They have a true QB who can lead a functional offense, a RB who is productive in most weeks and a plethora of WRs who can produce in any matchup. QB Hayden Wolff is by far the most attractive QB on this slate since he is the only QB for any of these teams that can reliably produce 10+ FD points. The weather is a bit iffy for this game but as of right now, the rain is supposed to stop well before kickoff, but monitor the weather in Kalamazoo before fully committing to this WMU passing attack. RB Jalen Buckley has me torn on this limited slate. He is obviously the second best option behind whoever the lead back for BGSU is, but his price is wildly expensive. Bowling Green is a tougher matchup for opposing RBs so I am not in love with playing Buckley but if there ends up being a lot of rain he will be a great play since the offense will be forced to lean on him. If weather permits, I want to load up on this Western Michigan passing attack. Western Michigan is the only team on this slate who averages more than 200 passing yards per game so they are the only receiving corps you can rely on for consistent production. Kenneth Womack is the obvious top WR on this offense and is the only pass catcher on this slate who could record double digit catches so he is simply a must play for me. WRs Anthony Sambucci & Leroy Thomas are the other consistent producers in this passing attack. Thomas is a bigger yardage producer while Sambucci is more of a TD scorer so if you want a ceiling play go with Sambucci but if you want a safe floor, roll with Thomas. On the Bowling Green side of things, get TE Harold Fannin Jr. and whoever the lead back is, whether it is Terion Stewart or Ta'Ron Keith, the rest of Bowling Green is nothing more than a crapshoot. The QBs are in an annoying split that just kills both their fantasy value. Connor Bazelak plays between the 20s but Camden Orth takes over when they get into the redzone capping both their production at 10 FD points, but Orth does have the highest ceiling. Harold Fannin Jr. has taken over at the guy in this passing attack, averaging 90 yards per game over the past 3 games. Odieu Hilliare is the only other pass catcher on this offense who is anything more than a dart throw but he will still likely leave you disappointed. Whoever is the lead back for Bowling Green is basically locked in for 20+ FD points so make sure you have him in your lineup.

Eastern Michigan vs Buffalo

This game is going to be very cold and very rainy so I would not consider any of the pass catchers in this game besides Tanner Knue because he gets solid usage. Buffalo has one of my favorite plays on this limited slate. QB CJ Ogbonna has become a real weapon in recent weeks as he has taken over this Buffalo running game. He has 28 rushing attempts over the past 2 weeks and is Buffalo's go-to guy when they are inside the 5. Ogbonna will be forced to take on a bigger role this week as the Buffalo offense tries to overcome the challenging weather. The Buffalo backfield is a real three way timeshare, but it is Ron Cook Jr. who gets all the valuable work so he is a great play with a game script that will result in heavy usage. Passing QB Cole Synder and the pass catchers for Buffalo are essentially complete fades for me this week. For Eastern Michigan there is one guy who you need in your lineup. RB Samson Evans is a TD monster as he has produced at least 1 TD in 7 straight games. He is a great value at $8,500 and is simply a must play. Backfield mate Jaylon Jackson is also a decent play and he will also be relied upon in the rainy conditions. Tanner Knue could be a decent play since he is one of the few WRs on this slate who is guaranteed to get more than 5 targets, but I am not risking it will this Eastern Michigan passing attack.
