Ball State vs Bowling Green

In a slate full of QB ineptitude, Ball State has the one QB who is a must start. QB Kiael Kelly is a must play. Kelly has officially taken over the QB. While he may not be the best pure QB on this slate, his rushing abilities make him a solid fantasy QB. Kelly has produced at least 9 fantasy points with his rushing alone in 3 straight games; which may not seem like great production, but on this limited slate that is elite production. Ball State's offense is not very good, but then again neither are any of the offenses on this slate; however Ball State does have the easiest offense to predict. RB Marquez Cooper and Kelly are almost the entirety of this team's rushing attack making both must starts thanks to their guaranteed usage. The Ball State passing attack is a bit more volatile, but Qian Magwood will likely lead the team in targets. Magwood's production has been lacking though. He only has one game with at least 50 receiving yards this year so he is risky at his high price. Tanner Koziol and Ahmad Edwards are the only other parts of this passing attack that are anything more than a shot in the dark, but both of their floors are right around 1 point so they are no sure thing. On the Bowling green side of the game, I know I want RB Terion Stewart; but beyond that good luck because they are complete gambles. QB Connor Bazelak is the leading passer for this team, but he is ceding redzone work to QB Camden Orth making both huge gambles that have low floors and upside, but I like Orth the most out of the two. WR Odieu Hillare has been the top receiver for Bowling Green, but he has not recorded a catch in either of the team's last two games so he is a fade for me. RB Ta'Ron Keith and TE Harold Fannin Jr. have the most consistent roles in this passing game, but they both do not rack up a lot of yardage so they will need a TD to be worth your while.

Kent State vs Akron

Kent State has the only true must play receiver on this slate. WR Cirshon McCray is the only WR on this entire slate who has shown any semblance of consistency. He has at least 50 yards in each of his last 4 games and any other receiver would be lucky to accomplish that in a single game so get him in your lineup or you will be left behind. Even though McCray is a consistent producer in this passing attack, these Kent State QBs are scary. Tommy Ulatowski and Michael Alaimo are splitting time at the QB position. Alaimo is hard to watch and does not produce much, failing to score more than 6 FD points in 6 straight games. Ulatowski has shown more promise scoring more 10+ FD points in 2 of his last 3 games so he does make a solid dart throw. WR Trell Harris does look like he is ready to return which could really hurt McCray's production, but he should not be ready to assume his position as the team's top receiver right away making McCray a solid play still. Kent State does not have a lot of solid options in the backfield, and there are a few other solid RBs on this slate so the Kent State RBs are fades this week. Things for the Kent State offense are bad, but Akron's offense is somehow worse. RB Lorenzo Lingard is the only guy I would even consider starting. He is involved as both a rusher and receiver, but this offense's ineptitude has prevented him from being a consistent fantasy producer. I cannot endorse the rest of this Akron offense as anything more than a pure gamble.
